Practice What You Preach: Corporate Hypocrisy Regarding Diversity & Inclusion

You’ve probably seen companies all over social media this week posting their support for Black Lives Matter and the fight against systemic and structural racism.

While it’s great that these organizations are speaking out against racism, it’s also clear that many of them are not backing up their words with action. structural racism is pervasive across all aspects of society, and these corporations are no exception.

Research shows that this sort of diversity and inclusion hypocrisy can have a detrimental effect on both employees and job-seekers. If companies want to speak out about social justice issues, they need to demonstrate accountability and make sure they are practicing what they preach.
